01 / The brief
Wedding sites all look the same, and that is the problem.
Picolina plans weddings and events in the Netherlands with a particular strength in culturally specific celebrations, working with traditions rather than fitting them into a standard format.
A couple looking for a planner who understands their traditions will not be reassured by the same stock imagery every other planner uses.
02 / Our approach
Let the real events do the persuading.
The portfolio is the centre of the site and uses the planner’s own event photography, so a visitor sees celebrations that actually resemble the one they are planning.
A free wedding checklist captures couples who are twelve months out and not ready to enquire, giving the business a way to stay in contact through a very long decision cycle.
Phase 01
Structure
Wedding and event planning separated, portfolio placed at the centre.
Phase 02
Design
Warm editorial layout built on the planner’s own photography.
Phase 03
Build
CMS, portfolio, blog and checklist capture.
Phase 04
SEO and launch
On-page SEO and responsive pass.
03 / The outcome
A planner whose portfolio does the talking.
Separate wedding and event paths, a real-event portfolio, client reviews, a blog and a checklist lead magnet for couples still a year out.
