Privacy Policy

What data this site collects, why, how long it is kept, and how to ask for it to be removed.

This policy explains what personal data softliro.com collects, why, who else handles it and what rights you have. It is written to match how this website actually works, and it is meant to meet the standards of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California privacy law (CCPA/CPRA) and comparable laws elsewhere.

In short

  • We only collect what you choose to send us: a brief, a booking, an email or a message.
  • There are no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies on this website.
  • We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
  • You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.

What we collect, and when

When you send us a brief

The contact form asks for your name, your company, your work email, what you need, a budget band and a short description of your idea or problem. Only your name, email and description are required. We also record which page the form was sent from. Your enquiry is stored on this website and emailed to us so that we can reply.

Spam protection

To stop automated submissions, the contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs. When you load the form, Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic technical information about your browser and device, which it uses only to tell people from bots. In addition, we count how many times an address has submitted the form in the last hour. That count is stored as a one-way hash for one hour and then deleted; your IP address itself is never written to our database.

When you book a call

Our booking calendar is provided by Cal.com and loads only when you open the booking window. Cal.com receives the details you enter, such as your name, email address, time zone and any notes, and uses them to schedule the call and send calendar invitations. Calls take place on Google Meet or Zoom, or in person where agreed.

When you email, call or message us

If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we receive your contact details and whatever you choose to tell us, and use them to answer you.

When you visit any page

Like every website, ours receives technical data with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Our hosting provider keeps these server logs for security and troubleshooting, and our security firewall checks requests to block attacks. We do not use this data for analytics or to identify you. Fonts and videos are served from our own server, so loading a page does not tell any third party that you visited.

Cookies

We do not set cookies for visitors, and there are no analytics, advertising or profiling cookies on this website, so there is nothing to consent to. WordPress sets cookies only for our own logged-in administrators. Cloudflare Turnstile and Cal.com may use strictly necessary storage while you use the contact form or the booking calendar, to make those features work.

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal. This is a step you ask us to take before a possible contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and in our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To deliver work we agree on. Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep this website secure and free of spam. Our legitimate interest in protecting the site and our inbox (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To meet legal obligations, such as keeping invoices and accounting records (Art. 6(1)(c)).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Who else handles your data

We use a small number of trusted service providers, who process data only on our instructions or to provide their service:

  • Hostinger, which hosts this website and its database.
  • Our email provider, which delivers enquiry notifications and our replies.
  • Cloudflare, for spam protection on the contact form (privacy policy).
  • Cal.com, for scheduling calls (privacy policy).
  • Google Meet or Zoom, when we meet you online.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a legal dispute. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

International transfers

Softliro is based in Bangladesh, and some of our service providers operate in other countries, including the United States. Your data may therefore be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer for international transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months.
  • Client records, such as contracts and invoices, are kept for as long as tax and contract law require.
  • Spam-protection counts are deleted after one hour.
  • Server and security logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period, as needed for security.

You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict or object to our use of your data;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.

California residents also have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, and we will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

To use any of these rights, email hello@softliro.com. We will reply within one month, and may need to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Security

This website runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection and is protected by a security firewall, and access to stored enquiries is limited to us. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and to act quickly if anything goes wrong.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change is significant, we will say so clearly on this page.
